Denali National Park, Alaska Weather Denali Visitor Center

The National Park Service is offering three fee free weekends this summer at National Parks across the country and Denali National Park is participating.   The entrance fee will be waived for the weekends of June 20 & 22, July 18 & 19 and August 15 & 16.

During the fee free weekends there is also a special on the Natural History Bus tour, which goes 17 miles into the park.  They are offering a 50% discount on a second ticket with the purchase of a full price ticket.

Our Goal: To answer your question about the best way to experience the Denali area by explaining the best way to see Denali National Park and showing the best places to stay, eat, shop and the most popular activities.

Many visitors to the park choose to stay in the town of Healy when visiting Denali National Park, becasue of the number of excellent B&B's, hotels, lodges, RV parks and campgrounds and it's close proximity to the Park,   The town offers excellent options for exploring Denali without the crowds of people that can be found closer to the park entrance.

  • Visit Denali National Park. Number one on your list should be to see the national park. Buy a shuttle bus ticket to at least the Eilson Visitor's Center ($31.45) 66 miles inside the national park. Pack or buy a lunch and get ready to look for Denali wildlife for the next 8 or 9 hours.
